ROOTY HILL, NSW, Australia (Eagle News) — The members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo from the District of Australia East – Sydney and Canberra region, gathered together for two consecutive days of Unity Games. Some of the brethren from Canberra traveled for more than 230 kilometers to participate in the said event.
The Unity Games started off with a Bowling Tournament, Sunday, October 2, 2016, from 5:00 to 10:00 PM, held at Sherbrooke Street, Rooty Hill, NSW. By Monday, October 3, 2016, Basketball, Volleyball, and Chess games were held at Penrith Valley Regional Sports Center.
Spearheaded by the District Supervising Minister, Brother Teodorico S.P. Samson Jr., brethren and their families were encouraged to participate as this event showcased the brotherhood and unity of all INC members and also to share their faith to other people who are not yet members of the Church.
Indeed, a successful Unity Games brought sportsmanship within the players of each participating locale congregation and also strengthened the love and brotherhood of the brethren.
The Unity Games is organised by the Christian Family Organisation (CFO) through the supervision of the CFO Coordinator Brother Angelo Manalo. It is held in different parts of the world approved by the administration of the Church led by the Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo to not only promote brotherhood and unity, but to also look after the physical well-being of the church members.
