(Eagle News)– The management of Metro Ayala said on Saturday that the fire that hit Metro Ayala Mall in Cebu started in a stockroom.
In a brief statement, mall authorities said smoke was first seen in that room of the toys department.
Firefighters are trying to put out the fire that began past 9 p.m. on Friday and has reached the Task Force Alpha.
The mall management said the Metro Ayala Emergency Brigade Team and Ayala Center Cebu Emergency Brigade Team “are working with the Bureau of Fire and other emergency response teams to manage the situation.”
“All customers and personnel were safely evacuated,” it said.
