DepEd to monitor teaching of history

In response to President Benigno S Aquino’s criticism regarding the shortfall in the teaching of history, the Department of Education (DepEd) will start monitoring the teaching of said subject. “Heneral Luna”, official entry in 2016 Oscars

After garnering many positive reviews, “Heneral Luna” was officially entered as the country’s bet on the Best Foreign Language Film category of the 2016 Academy Awards or Oscars. Under the direction of Jerold Tarog, the film is about General Antonio Luna, a prominent historical figure during the Filipino-American War.
