10 more barangays in Marawi City to be opened up for civilians – AFP

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) spokesman Major General Restituto Padilla said that 10 more barangays in Marawi City will be opened up to civilians and handed over to the local government’s authority.

Out of 96 barangays in Marawi City, 50 have been opened up to civilians.

Of the remaining 36 barangays, 24 barangays have yet to be cleared by the military because they are inside the main battle area.
