MANILA, May 26 (PNA) — Senate Blue Ribbon Committee chairman Sen. Teofisto Guingona III on Monday night released to the media the two sworn affidavits of Janet Lim Napoles, the alleged mastermind in the pork barrel scam.
”This afternoon, we received affidavits. These are two affidavits. In the spirit of transparency and effort to find the truth and in line with our commitment to uphold the public interest, we are going to release these two copies to the media,” Guingona said in a press briefing.
”Let the document(s) speak for itself,” Guingona added, referring to the Napoles’ signed affidavits, including a supplemental in Filipino.
The affidavits contained the list of the 120 lawmakers, including 20 former and incumbent senators, and other individuals whom Napoles said “received part of the pork barrel.”
The senators listed by Napoles include formers senator Rodolfo Biazon, Loi Estrada, Robert Jaworksi, Ramon Magsaysay, Tessie Aquino Oreta, Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel, Manny Villar, and Robert Barbers; incumbent Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Jinggoy Estrada, Gringo Honasan, Lito Lapid, Legarda Loren, Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel, Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr., Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Cynthia Villar, Alan Peter Cayetano, and Francis “Chiz” Escudero III.

Napoles, who is reportedly applying as state witness, said in her affidavit that she is aware that her decision to issue an affidavit would put her life in danger.
”The truth hurts… but the truth will set you free,” Napoles said in her 32-page Tagalog sworn affidavit.
”I’m a victim of a wrong system of our society that I thought was normal, correct and legal because it was practice for a very long time,” she added.
Napoles said she also issued the affidavit in support of her request to exclude her children James Christopher Lim Napoles and Jo Christine Napoles from charges filed before the Office of the Ombudsman.
”My children had no knowledge, participation and involvement whatsoever in the subject cases. They had executed counter-affidavits to prove their innocence in the charges made against them,” she said.
Napoles said she is willing to help the government by offering to testify “based on our personal knowledge and information.” (Philippine News Agency)
