CHINA (Reuters) –Eighteen people got killed early on Friday when a mini-bus carrying 20 veered off road into a lake in central China’s Hubei Province, according to local authorities.
All the deceased were reportedly in their sixties and seventies.
The two survivors including the mini-bus driver are receiving hospital treatment. Their injuries are not life-threatening.
The driver surnamed Li is already put under police custody.
Ma Yichun, a local work safety and supervision official from Miaoling Township under Ezhou City, has suspected poor visibility of less than 100 meters to have caused the road accident.
