Nineteen women, including 13 Filipinas, 3 Ukrainians and 3 Russians, were saved in a raid conducted by the National Bureau of Investigation in a nightclub in Pasay City.
The raid at the Starwood VIP Lounge was conducted by the NBI’s Anti-Trafficking Division with a team from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
The NBI said this was the first time it encountered foreigners working as sex workers in the country.
