Synopsis: at 4:00 am today, the eye of typhoon “RUBY” was located based on all available data including Virac and Cebu doppler radars in the vicinity of Calbayog City or at 40 km Northwest of Catbalogan, Samar (12.0˚N, 124.6˚E), with maximum sustained winds of 160 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 195 kph. It is forecast to move West Northwest at 15 kph.
Forecast: Visayas, Bicol Region, Calabarzon and the provinces of Romblon, Mindoro and Marinduque will experience stormy weather while metro manila and the provinces of Pampanga, Bulacan, Dinagat and Surigao del Norte including the Island of Siargao will have rains with gusty winds with moderate to rough seas. The rest of the country will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rainshowers and thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds blowing from the northeast to north will prevail over the rest of Luzon and coming from the northeast to northwest over the rest of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas.
