3.0-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur early Tuesday, Aug. 6.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 2 kilometers northwest of Carmen at 2:53 a.m.

Depth of focus was 136 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
