3.1-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Norte

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Saturday, Aug. 10.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 76 kilometers northeast of General Luna at 3:43 p.m.

Depth of focus was nine kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
