(Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Masbate today.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 6:28 a.m., was an aftershock of the 6.6-magnitude earthquake in Cataingan on Aug. 18.
Sunday’s quake had its epicenter 9 kilometers northeast of Cataingan, and a depth of 16 kilometers.
It was of tectonic origin.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
