(Eagle News)–A 3.8-magnitude earthquake hit Masbate early Sunday, Aug. 30.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 12:04 a.m., had its epicenter 14 kilometers southeast of Cataingan.
It had a depth of 22 kilometers.
The earthquake was tectonic in origin.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
