(Eagle News)–A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Thursday, Dec. 21.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake that hit at 5:06 p.m. was an aftershock of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that hit the province on Dec. 2.
The epicenter was 139 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan.
The depth of focus was 43 kilometers.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
