(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur early Saturday, Jan. 27.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 7.4-magnitude earthquake that shook the province on December 2, 2023, hit at 5:58 a.m.
The epicenter was 128 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan.
The depth of focus was 29 kilometers.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
