(Eagle News) — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Friday, Jan. 20.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was an aftershock of the 7.0-magnitude quake reported in the province on Jan. 18.
PHIVOLCS said the 4.2-magnitude quake hit at 5 a.m.
The epicenter was 288 kilometers southeast of Balut Island.
The depth of focus was 19 kilometers.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
