(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Masbate early Saturday, Sept. 2.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the earthquake hit 10 km southeast of Pio V. Corpus at 12:03 a.m.
The depth of focus was 12 km.
The following instrumental intensities were reported:

Intensity I – Maripipi, Biliran; Calubian, Leyte
No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
