(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Cagayan on Wednesday, Aug. 9.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 7:42 a.m.
The epicenter was 23 kilometers northwest of Claveria.
The depth of focus was 11 kilometers.
The following intensities and instrumental intensities were reported:

Intensity III- Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte
Intensity II- Pasuquin, Bacarra, and City of Batac, Ilocos Norte
Instrumental Intensity:
Intensity III – Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte
Intensity I – Sinait, Ilocos Sur; Gonzaga and Peñablanca, Cagayan
No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
