(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude earthquake hit Batanes on Monday, April 8.
The quake struck 3 kilometers south of Basco at 10:59 a.m., the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
The depth of focus of the quake, which was of tectonic origin, was 16 kilometers.
An Intensity IV was felt in Basco, PHIVOLCS said.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.
