(Eagle News) — A 4.5-magnitude earthquake struck Batanes on Friday, April 12.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the earthquake hit 71 kilometers southwest of Sabtang at 11:46 a.m.
The depth of focus of the quake, which was of tectonic origin, was 35 kilometers.
An Intensity II and an instrumental Intensity II were reported in Basco.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.
