4.7-magnitude earthquake strikes off Surigao del Sur early Saturday

(Eagle News)–A 4.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur early Saturday, Jan. 13.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 2:04 a.m.

The epicenter was 85 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan.

The depth of focus was three kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
