4.8-magnitude quake hits Dinagat, second in one month

(Eagle News) — A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck  Dinagat on Thursday, the second one in a month’s time, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

Phivolcs said the quake hit four kilometers south of Loreto (Dinagat) at 9:19  a.m.

Depth of focus was pegged at 78 kilometers.

PHIVOLCS said aftershocks were not expected.

There is no reported damage to property.

Casualties were also not reported.
