4.9-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Occidental early Thursday, Aug. 25

(Eagle News) — A 4.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Thursday, Aug. 25.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 4:10 a.m.

The epicenter was 258 kilometers southeast of Balut Island.

The depth of focus was 33 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
