44 injured in road accident involving 3 buses along Commonwealth Avenue

At least 44 persons were injured in a road accident involving three passenger buses along Commonwealth Avenue, in Quezon City, Saturday morning (March 22)

The accident happened at around 6 a.m.  The injured were rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center.  Most of them were passengers of the Nova Auto Transport Bus, while the others are passengers of Safeway Bus.

In a radio report of DZMM, the Nova Auto Bus bound for Baclaran was allegedly speeding, and hit the two other buses – the Safeway Bus which was bound for Welcome-Rotonda and Ayala-bound Marikina Autoline Bus.

The driver of the Nova Auto Transport Bus fled the scene, but also surrendered to the Quezon City police later on.
