(Eagle News) — A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Thursday, Sept. 24.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which struck at 10:25 a.m., was an aftershock of the 5.7-magnitude earthquake that struck Bayabas on Sept. 21.
PHIVOLCS said the 5.0-magnitude quake had its epicenter 91 kilometers northeast of Bayabas.
It had a depth of 46 kilometers.
No damage to property was reported but aftershocks were.
