(Eagle News)–A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte early Tuesday, Oct.13.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, which hit at 3:21 a.m., had its epicenter 13 kilometers southwest of Dapa.
It had a depth of 21 kilometers, and was tectonic in origin.
The following intensities and instrumental intensities were reported:
Intensities:
Intensity III – Surigao City; Dapa, Surigao Del Norte
Intensity II – Borromeo, Surigao Del Norte; Carrascal, and, Tubod, Surigao Del Sur
Instrumental Intensities:
Intensity III – Surigao City
Intensity I – Gingoog City; Misamis Oriental
No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
