(Eagle News) – -A 5.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Batanes early Wednesday, Jan. 19.
According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 3:10 a.m.
It had its epicenter 53 kilometers northeast of Itbayat.
The depth of focus was 187 kilometers.
The following intensities were reported:
Intensity III – Itbayat, Batanes
No damage to property were reported but aftershocks were expected.
