(Eagle News) — A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Saturday, Aug. 14.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake–an aftershock of the 7.1-magnitude earthquake that struck Governor Generoso on Aug. 12–hit at 4:17 a.m.
It had its epicenter 170 kilometers southeast of Tarragona.
The depth of focus was 35 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
