(Eagle News) — A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Sunday, Oct. 24.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 7:08 a.m.
It had its epicenter 75 kilometers northeast of Lingig.
The depth of focus was 19 kilometers.
The earthquake was of tectonic origin.
No damage to property was expected but aftershocks are.
