5.4-magnitude quake rips through Metro Manila, parts of S. Tagalog

(Eagle News) — A 5.4-magnitude earthquake ripped through Metro Manila and some parts of Southern Tagalog on Tuesday night, prompting the Batangas government to declare a state of calamity and suspend classes.

The quake was felt at Intensity IV in Makati and Obando, Bulacan, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

Intensity III was felt in Mandaluyong; Quezon City; General Trias and Dasmariñas in Cavite; in Sta. Ana, Manila; and in Lucena City, Quezon.

Intensity II was felt in Talisay, Batangas; and in Pasig City.
