(Eagle News)–A 5.5-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur on Wednesday, March 6.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 102 kilometers northeast of Hinatuan at 8:12 a.m.
The quake, which was of tectonic origin, had a depth of 14 kilometers.
Intensity IV was felt in Bislig City, while an Intensity II was felt in Davao City.
According to PHIVOLCS, no damage was expected.
Aftershocks, however, were expected.
