(Eagle News) — A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Batanes on Friday, April 8.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 7:36 a.m.
The epicenter was 118 kilometers northwest of Itbayat.
The depth of focus was 15 kilometers.
The following intensities were reported:
Intensity II – Basco, Batanes
No damage to property was reported but aftershocks were.
