(Eagle News) — A 5.9-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental on Tuesday, Jan. 24.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake that hit at 10:13 a.m. was an aftershock of the 7.0-magnitude quake that struck the province on January 18.
The epicenter was 303 kilometers southeast of Balut Island.
The depth of focus was 27 kilometers.
No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
