MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — Seven people and over 800 others were arrested in the anti-drug operations conducted by the Philippine National Police during the recent four-day break.
The information was announced by Philippine National Police Chief Dir. General Ronaldo “Bato” dela Rosa in a press briefing on Monday, April 2.
According to reports, four of the seven people killed were from Region 3, and one each from Region 4-A, Region 12, and the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM).
Meanwhile, among the 800 individuals who were arrested, the highest number of arrest came from National Capital Region.
Dela Rosa said the PNP conducted 505 anti-illegal drugs operations nationwide from March 28 to April 1 which resulted in the arrest of over 800 suspects.
