Kakayahay nahahayag, saan man malapag.

With the message of hope for Filipinos around the world, 95.5 Pinas FM celebrates its relaunching on-air and online with a new jingle entitled “Pinoy Ka, Dito Ka” composed by one of the Philippines’ fastest-rising Original Pilipino Music (OPM) artists Rapido, and sung by Acel Bisa and Ney Dimaculangan, former vocalists of Moonstar88 and 6Cyclemind, respectively.
Acel Bisa is widely popular for her song “Torete” while Ney Dimaculangan is the voice behind the hit song “Sandalan.” Both OPM artists, according to Rapido, lent their voices in the jingle, pro bono, as an expression of their contribution to OPM and in helping promote Filipino music around the world.
Also collaborating in the production of the new Station ID are singer, model and one of the hosts of ‘Letters and Music’, Lorraine Ojimba; and beatmaker, arranger, and producer Ace Gutierrez of Acegutz Beat.
E25 record artist Rapido, who also composed the soundtrack of the award-winning film “Guerrero” explained that the concept behind the jingle is to further establish 95.5 Pinas FM as the home of OPM.
Dahil dito, walang mainstream, walang nasa itaas, walang nasa ibaba, as long as OPM artist ka,” the songwriter emphasized.
Music as part of Pinoy culture
Rapido highlighted the intrinsic love of Filipinos for music.
“Saan man naroon ang Pilipino, saan mang bansa siya pumunta, pag may nabalitaan tayong sumikat, sasabihin natin, ‘uy Pilipino yan, ang galing niya, at we are proud to be Filipino,” he said.
Rapido was trying to address the OFWs and Filipinos around the world in the first line of the jingle.
Aside from the beautiful melody, Rapido also wanted to showcase deeper Tagalog terms in his lyrics.
“Let’s push and explore more on the use of Tagalog,” he added.
Passion for music
Rapido has been rapping and writing music since high school. “Mamumuhunan ka talaga, pera, pagod at pagpapagal,” he said.
He narrated how he was discouraged to pursue music, even by his loved ones, who prodded him to take on other opportunities, start on a business and even work abroad. But he pursued his passion and his songs have been accepted and widely known in his community. It was Fliptop, the rap battle competition, which served as the ladder for him to pursue his passion for singing and music writing.
Addressing other new OPM artists, Rapido humbly said, “we have to keep learning.”
Yung kaya kong gawin na ‘in’ yung values.
From a rap battle artist, Rapido has transformed himself as a songwriter.
The network management led by Eagle President Rowena dela Fuente-Deimoy and FM Station Manager Raymond Stone commended Rapido for his latest creation. “With his composition of 95.5 Pinoy FM latest jingle “Pinoy Ka, Dito Ka”, Rapido has made a great contribution in the OPM industry,” the executives said.

1
Kakayahay nahahayag saan man malapag
Chorus:
Taas-noo, kahit saan, taglay nating galing,
95.5 Pinas FM.
2.
O kay sarap ibigin ng ating musika
Hatid ay bagong pag-asa at panibagong sigla
Ito ay tahanan natin, ng bawat Pilipino
Ating ipagmalaki o syempre atin tooo ohhh
(Repeat Chorus)
