QUEZON City, Philippines – Starting September 2016, every uniformed personnel will receive a 20-kilo rice allowance from the government. Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno said that the rice allowance is a non-salary benefit promised by President Rodrigo Duterte.
The beneficiaries include all the personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Philippine National Police, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Philippine Coast Guard.
