No decision yet on sacking of Davao Police chief — PNP chief

(Eagle News)– Philippine National Police Chief (PNP) Director General Ronald Dela Rosa on Monday (Sept. 5)  that he has yet to decide on what will happen to Davao City Police director Senior Supt. Michael John Dubria, after Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte expressed her desire to relieve Dubria from his post.
Totoo po yun. In fact, pati yung Task Force Davao (head) pinapatanggal niya, yung Army,” Dela Rosa said.
But mag-uusap pa kami. I’ll talk to her. I’ll see what I can do. Kasi meron din naman kasi… mahirap i-discuss. Amin amin na lang ito,” he added.

Mayor Sara Duterte announced on Monday morning her desire to replace Dubria and Task Force Davao Commander Col. Henry Robinson Jr., due to the lapses that allowed suspects to bomb the night market.

“It’s not about their qualifications, it’s about me. I took what happened personally, there will be strained relationship between us if they continue to stay in their posts,” Duterte said.
Dubria only assumed his post in June this year. There were still no names mentioned for the replacement.
