MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) – -The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday, September 5 announced the operation of text 2286 or BATO — an SMS hotline that would enable the public to report incidents directly to PNP Chief Dir. Gen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.
“It will increase public awareness and hopefully this will discourage potential bombers to do it again. Baka matakot sila na baka mapansin sila na may suspicious na tao dito na may dalang suspicious package madali lang massend ng 2286,” Dela Rosa said.
