QUEZON City, Philippines – The House of Representatives Committee on Justice once again defended the speedy grant of immunity to convicted Bilibid inmates.
According to Deputy House Speaker Fredenil Castro, there is an urgent need to give immunity to the convicted Bilibid inmates in order for the hearing to proceed. The hearing will not proceed without the immunity as the resource persons will not speak if their statements can be used against them in a court of law.
