QUEZON City, Philippines – Senate Minority Floor Leader Ralph Recto said that he will oppose the proposed tax on the 13th month pay as well as other bonuses.
Recto also said that he will oppose other proposals of the Department of Finance such as the plan to increase taxes on petroleum products, and the removal of the tax exemption of the senior citizens and persons with disabilities.
On the other hand, Recto said that he supports the proposal to reduce the income tax from 30 percent to 25 percent.
