NEW YORK CITY, United States (Reuters) — With a hook and an upper cut, model Adriana Lima is preparing for her 16th trip down Victoria’s Secret’s runway.
Lima invited cameras inside her work out at Aerospace in New York on Monday (November 21).
“I really love to work out and boxing definitely is my thing. I started like when I was 19-year-old. It’s just a passion that I have. And regardless of show, I am at the gym as much as I can,” said Lima.
The 35-year-old mother of two showed off her six-pack and knock out moves with her long time trainer.
“Michael (Olajide) and Aerospace introduced me to boxing and I fell in love with it. But now these days I go to different gyms. I live in Miami, so sometimes I go to Fifth Street Gym over there. And also I go to Dog Pound here to try different things.”
After logging 15 years on the catwalk for the lingerie company, Lima said she still gets nervous year each before the show.
“The Victoria’s Secret fashion show gets bigger and more and more countries are watching the show all over the place. And, you know, you’re not going to be wearing much, you know, and you want to look your best in there. So yes, I get nervous and anxious.”
The Brazilian model said she has a goal to walk in 20 shows.
The runway show will be taped at The Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées on November 30 and air on the U.S. network CBS on December 5, eventually broadcasting in 190 countries.
