QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Senate Committee on Ways and Means Chairman Senator Sonny Angara said that the Department of Finance will no longer remove the exemptions of senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) from value-added tax despite the comprehensive tax reform program of the Duterte administration.
The aim of the comprehensive tax reform is to reduce the income tax rate while increasing the excise tax on oil products.
