MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — More than 61,000 people are still staying in different evacuation centers in Butuan City after heavy flooding hit the region last week.
Many of the residents affected by the heavy rains and severe flooding came from the 19 towns of Agusan del Norte and Agusan del Sur.
CARAGA Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council has reported that damage to infrastructure has reached P173.24 million, while damage to agricultural sector already reached P80.77 million.
