QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Malacañang thanked the public for their continued support for President Duterte after Pulse Asia released the result of its latest survey which showed the President received a 78 percent approval rating.
The President’s 78 percent approval rating was 20 points higher compared to Vice President Leni Robredo’s 58 percent approval rating.
Abella said that the public’s trust in the President is proof that the administration is on the right path. He said critics of the President failed to shake the public’s faith in him.
Abella said this high approval rating is also proof that majority of the population also approve of his campaign against criminality and drugs.
“The vicious noise from the President’s fiercest critics failed to dampen public sentiment on the latest presidential rating,” Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella said in a statement.
“This tells us that a majority of Filipinos appreciate the President’s priority of protecting the nation’s patrimony – the next generation – from dangerous drug traffickers and violators; to restore a trustworthy government free from corruption; to keep our streets safe from crime; our society just and fair; and our many people get along,” Abella said.
