QUEZON CIty, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Philippine Airlines will continue its trips to Qatar despite the diplomatic row between Qatar and its neighbors.
“As of now, PAL’s four times weekly flights to and from Doha remain unaffected. The Philippines is not a party to the dispute and our bilateral ties with Qatar remain unaffected,” PAL spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said.
According to Villaluna, they will wait for the advice of the Department of Foreign Affairs before suspending their flights going to Qatar.
As of now, there is no declared airspace restriction between the Philippines and Qatar.
“No airspace restrictions have been declared so far. However, we are awaiting guidance from the DFA due to the diplomatic/aero-political nature of the issue,” Villaluna said.
