(Eagle News) — Delegates to the 31st ASEAN Summit have started arriving at the SMX Convention Center for the ASEAN gala dinner.
Renowned Filipina chef Jessie Sincioco will prepare the mean for the ASEAN participants, with the help of Sofitel Philippine Plaza.
They will be preparing a four course Filipino-Asian dinner.
Meanwhile, three top Filipino designers – Albert Andrada, Rajo Laurel and Randy Ortiz, were those assigned to dress the world leaders and their spouses for the gala dinner.
Andrada designed the pina cocoon barongs that the leaders of ASEAN and their dialogue partners will be wearing for the ASEAN gala dinner. These will have intricate embroidery and front and cuff buttons featuring the ASEAN logo.
Their spouses will be wearing Filipiniana gowns inspired by the three main Philippine islands – Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao — by Laurel, Ortiz and Albert.
