(Eagle News) — Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque has been officially dropped from the list of members of the 17th Congress.
Majority Floor Leader Rodolfo Fariñas made the announcement during a regular session on Wednesday.
The development came weeks after Roque, then the representative of the Kabayan partylist in the House of Representatives, was named presidential spokesperson by President Rodrigo Duterte.
Roque replaced Ernesto Abella, who was later designated as Foreign Affairs undersecretary.
Roque was also named presidential adviser for human rights.
