The Palace on Wednesday, December 6, released copies of Proclamation No. 374 that officially labels the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army as a terrorist organization. The group was declared as such after President Rodrigo Duterte signed Proclamation No. 3260, officially terminated talks with the communist group. Duterte said he was fed up with the rebels’ “depredatory acts” that include the killing of a four-month-old baby. He also slammed what he said was the group’s penchant for killing soldiers even with a ceasefire in place.
