“There will be no oppression,” Duterte says
“I do not want to talk to the communists anymore. I have been receiving (these) reports…Hinihipo ninyo ‘yung mga babae at ‘yung iba ninanakaw ninyo ang asawa,” Duterte said in Davao City.
Duterte made the announcement after officially declaring the Communist Party of the Philippines and the New People’s Army as terrorist organizations.
In making the declaration, Duterte cited what he said were their “depredatory acts” that include the killing of a 4-month-old baby.
In his speech, Duterte also accused some tribes in Mindanao, “maybe in Visayas and Luzon,” of continuing to practise slavery by buying and selling children.
“Huminto kayo diyan or else I will treat you just like a drug lord. Slavery must stop,” Duterte said.
He said during his term, people have his “guarantee that everybody..will be protected and nurtured as a human being.”
“There will be no oppression and we will recognize your importance in the society,” he said.
