4.1-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

A 4.1-magnitude quake struck Davao Occidental on Thursday, December 28, 2017./PHIVOLCS/

(Eagle News) — A 4.1 -magnitude earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Thursday.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit 101 kilometers east of Sarangani at 7:34 a.m.

The depth of focus of the quake–which was tectonic in origin—was at 51 kilometers.

There were no reported aftershocks nor damage.
