World Bank: PHL to continue to be “fastest-growing economy” in ASEAN

(Eagle News) — The Philippines will continue to be the “fastest-growing economy” in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations in the next three years.

This is according to the World Bank’s January 2018 Global Economic Prospects report released on Wednesday.

According to the WB, the country’s Gross Domestic Product was expected to grow 6.7 percent in 2018 and 2019.

In 2020, the growth rate is expected to be 6.5 percent.

The WB said the forecast was  “despite some stabilization of investment growth.”
